Aaron Johnson has been a dedicated member in the journalism field since beginning at Southern Connecticut State University in the spring semester of 2012.

     Johnson used his extensive knowledge of sports along with his talents as a writer to hold several positions at the university weekly newspaper, the Southern News, most notably as sports editor for two years.

    Along with his work at the campus paper, Johnson interned as a sports reporter at the Connecticut Post in Bridgeport, Conn., handling coverage of regional sports, including high school football across Fairfield County. Prior to his internship, Johnson worked at the Hartford Courant in Hartford, Conn., as a statistician at the high school sports desk.

     Back on campus, Johnson co-hosted 4 Quarters Radio, the premier sports talk radio show on the campus radio station WSIN 1590 and contributed to SCSU TV, as well as, making an appearance on the SCSU TV original show Across the Board.

     Johnson is from Stratford, Conn., and earned his Bachelor of Science in Journalism with a cognate in Media Studies in December of 2015.

     Since earning his degree, Johnson has worked as an editorial assistant for the business section of the Connecticut Post and a special contributor to CPTV Sports.

     Johnson has also worked as a town reporter for the Connecticut Post and sport editor for the Westport News weekly publication.

     He is currently working at the Republican-American as a town reporter covering Middlebury and Watertown, Connecticut.
